ââ?¬Å?He reminded me of something he had told me often: that volunteers were not welcome in the sorcerersââ?¬â?¢ world, because they already had a purpose of their own, which made it particularly hard for them to relinquish their individuality.  If the sorcerersââ?¬â?¢ world demanded ideas and actions contrary to the volunteersââ?¬â?¢ purpose, the volunteers simply refused to change.ââ?¬

My idea is the Naguaism is not for persons with only that as aoption… not for desesperate people.

The volunteers must be in facts. Not of words.

I too struggle, wondering if I am a volunteer or not. In a sense, I have a collection of experience’s that allow me to feel that the spirit found me. But even then, I believed I was signing up for something. And I thought I knew what I was signing up for. No, I must believe I was tricked. Because this isn’t WHAT I signed up for. I hope I can go thru with it till the end. What a misurable feeling it must be to taste infinity and let it pass you by.

We are definitely on a very different path than any of the sorcerers of Carlos’s lineage. The majority of us will never be chosen by a nagual. But the description of Carlos, Florinda and Taisha’s tutelage is packed to the gills with useful information that obviously shouldn’t be ignored by those who find it compelling.

The very quote that you posted, OldDog, brings that statement to the forefront of our awareness. It seems to be a cautionary note. It seems to me to directly tell us to be aware of our tendency to have expectations when taking any new direction in our lives, and how those expectations can be a major stumbling block.
