Reminds me a great deal of CC … but I think only someone who was familiar with CC would ever see it. It’s really the same message … but, let’s face it, with some hearts and flowers embroidered ‘round a bit. Seems that to don Miguel Ruiz the only goal is happiness right here and now — and there’s nothing wrong with that goal, in my book — and it’s the same as freedom/heaven. I have no idea if he has notions about obtaining freedom by coelescing his energy and sneaking past the Eagle! Nonetheless, he definitely espouses the idea of saving your energy — but that is so you can be happy — not so you can dream or see or pal around with allies. Anyone agree (or disagree) with me?

my opinion so far from what ive read is that it is for the common person. a person that wants to be happy with thier life right now, instead of somone who wants to is becoming a warrior. but i think that he has many good ideas. hopfully i will see some more the more i read. 😀

Don Juan told Castaneda and the others that the tradition he was teaching them was Toltec in origin.

Have you read any of Castaneda’s books?

The second ring of power, El segundo anillo de poder.
The art of dreaming, arte de ensonar.

    Only that.

Don Juan had Toltec Linneage School, and Heritage?

I’m pretty sure it’s either in The Second Ring of Power or The Eagle’s Gift where one of the women mentions their Toltec lineage. So the answer to your question is yes. 🙂

well while your checking, i found this guy also, another toltec with books, very similiar to don juan knowledge only more ideas on how to practice

    thuen mares

Yeah I have read Theun Mares. I find his books quite enlightening, although he slags off Castaneda on his website which seems a bit petty for a nagual, but then what do I know? Also Victor Sanchez has some practical tips for the novice warrior.
