I was thinking we should all be in more contact and discuss things more... perhaps a chat ... msn, or web-based, if thats a possibility for the webmasters, and advertising... keep people interested in this information by what-ever means....
Or maybe making a section where we can 'pick appart' other 'religeous' inventories and relate their stories to the sorcerers view of the world.. Like looking at other religeons in such a way where we can... 'see' what they were talking about.. how-ever abberated they were... in such a way we would be new seers freeing people from their 'closed' versions of reality... or their closed versions of the unknown.....

Ever since I become deeply involved with the teachings of the Nagual, I tend to bend other teachings toward the intent of Nagualism. In other words, if say I were to go to a Christian church service, or read a book on Taoism, I will automatically notice which things fit and which things don't, or rather, I tend to change the meanings into ones that suit my purposes. And perhaps a forum on here discussing such things might be interesting... Is this the sort of thing you're talking about?

As far as advertising, well I went onto several Nagualism, Shamanism, and Castaneda based internet groups at one point and mentioned this site. I may do that again sometime, and anyone who wants to should feel free to do the same. I think I'd rather lean towards 'word of mouth' rather than any serious advertising.

and yes, thats what I meant.. a place to 'convert' or explain things.. that we may have learnt through our lives subliminally or whatever..

If a chat is added to this forum, then chances are that people will visit the site just to chat. And very likely their conversations won't be about nagualism soon Anyway, you can always contact a person you like by other means: pms, email or something else.
The same goes for a section about discussing other systems of knowledge - people might only post there and nowhere else, coz it's easier to sit in your chair and compare things theoretically than actually practice something
Of course, all of that is for ensonar to decide.

P.S. The word of mouth is a nice thing btw This way only people who're truly interested will come.

I figured because in our daily lives we are faced with all of these other descriptions of the nagual it would be good to discuss them ... we have to keep in mind, its our perception of the nagual that is different because the nagual is always the same.. it is somewhat unchanging, the only thing we can do is break it all down, so its easier for everyone to understand... remember don juan taught all of his apprentices according to their nature.

"Convert"? That's abhorrent. Is it really necessary to turn this forum into another medium of religious brainwash?

A webchat might be an interesting option, but I smell an apparent social trap. Just as firefox pointed out. With forum postings, we have more time to think what we're actually typing and not just make new "friends" to build a pointless "feel-good community".

The nagual is changing all the time. And hell no, we can't "break it down" for our reason. And we will never understand it. You're talking about something else, not nagual. You're talking about tonal and its interpretations.

all you know about the tonal is what don juan and carlos wrote about... you have no idea what tonal is... try reading some of the stuff about nagualism from the 1500's or earlier.. or from the spanish inquisition..

Are you suggesting we can't know for ourselves? That we should rely on hand-to-mouth type of receiving knowledge, by just reading books? As if we didn't have lives of our own? You're living a bad trip.

of course making fun of something you don't know is the best move.. that seems to be the most impeccable thing to do huh? ... when your sitting infront of a computer with vast amounts of knowledge at your finger tips.. but instead you use your time to pick fights and insult people...
