Death of Castaneda
#21

I couldn't have said what I wanted to say in a worse way. But I don't see eye to eye with you yet on one issue. Why can't reading books by other Toltec authors impart to you knowledge? Isn't knowledge, knowledge, even from someone claiming to be someone he is not? And what about the nagual Julian? Didn't he fall short. I suppose it depends on what one wants. If one would rather sit on one's couch and be content with that then DO it. Just try to do it impeccably. And if one can't do it impeccably, pray that nothing comes along and destroys the little world you've created. And the answer to your question is; YES I WANT A SHORTCUTT  And I've been knocking myself out trying to find one. But maybe the universe didn't create a shortcut for me after all. CRIPES!

Hello S F
In my opinion you do not need to ask that question. You are the authority in your life, you should read what you want and not worry what others think. Knowledge is power no matter how it is acquired. If something inspires you then it is good for you. I believe that the spirit has led me to certain books, and I would have been a fool to pass them by just because they did not have the words Carlos Castaneda printed on them.

But in the beggining; God created the heav... Oh wait. Sorry. In the beginning of learning anything I admit a compulsion to wanting to shut out anxillary interpretations to the subject at hand. You know. Later I feel more freedom to explore. The hard part I suppose is knowing when one has a firm grasp and can afford too. Being a block-head I try to move slowly, but sometimes it's just soo tantilizing....
