Premonitions

This isn’t necessarily about dreaming, but it is something I’ve been curious about for a while.

For a long time, when I have normal dreams, many times I see the dream reflected in waking life sometime within the next few days. Many times it’s just little things, sometimes it feels rather drastic.

One of the first times I noticed this was when I had a dream about a person I hadn’t seen in several years. The next day I randomly ran into this person while shopping.

Another example of something less drastic would be a night that I dreamt that I was standing on the front part of a small boat, and there was a huge spider’s “nest” made out of mud. The next day I found myself standing next to the front part of a boat and there was huge spider web with a spider in the middle attached to the boat. (I don’t normally hang around boats).

Also, sometimes I’ll dream something and then see it reflected in a film that I’ve never seen before, a day or two after the dream. For example, I dreamt that I was sinking in a swimming pool with a bunch of other people. As we were sinking I noticed that a guy next to me was masturbating. I could see his orgasm floating up as we all sank. The next day I watched “Y tu mamÃ?¡ tambiÃ?©n” for the first time. There is a scene in the film where two of the main characters were laying on diving boards next to the swimming pool masturbating. When one of them orgasmed, it showed a camera angle from underneath the water watching the orgasm hit the water and sink.

I assure you I do not consider myself “special” because of this. What I am feeling is that this may be more common than many people think. I think it may even explain “deja vu”. I also don’t in any way think that this implies that things are predetermined or anything like that. I do think that it shows that time can be viewed in a much different way that we are normally aware of.

What do you all think about this, and has anyone else experienced similar things?

Not events so close and so precise, but had some exp.
Somehow I got a feeling that a lot of my mushroom (and some other) trips I have already seen in my dreams, and I get that many times.
The higher I got the more deja yu I get; sometimes I have like 4-6 in 10 min
And once after eating 2 strong ecstasy + 2 portions of mushrooms I had like 10 of them in 15 min.
Moment after moment the sentence “I’ve seen this – done this before” was coming to my mind that day I saw some green fog on floor in kitchen, that “just was there” without vanishing (could strike my hand through it – it didn’t change)
Later my assemb. point moved to point of silent knowledge (or closest I’ve ever been to that) I was unable to think in thoughts, hard to describe but closest that comes now to my mind is like I wanted to think about something – I got the answer, but there were no words to record it and it was gone, as well as the intended question
Later I tried a different way, I went to bed and tried to sink into topic and instantly voice answers in my head as they came, so small internal dialogue returned.
I got many realizations that night soo many… but I have no memory of them (except 2 main – I should fall in love, I should stop using chemicals (so far failed both = ( ) one more thing that came after those realizations was sadness very deep with no couses just a feeling that Iââ?¬â?¢ve done so many useless things in my life, but never been in love. And the rest I donââ?¬â?¢t remember (one of my friend came in later that night to ask something (I didnââ?¬â?¢t care about anything he said) and later said I didnââ?¬â?¢t look very well

I’ve done many experiments like this (but only now that you mentioned deja yu, I recalled what happened.) And a have a lot of events hidden in assemb. points but damaged my body (allthough I’am trying to keep up a healthy live-style to have balance, and doing a lot of de-tox diets and fasting from time to time so to clean my system)

anyway next week ill have another experiment with salvia 10x + other stuff
    Weââ?¬â?¢ll see what comes up… =)

There’s one quite exact premonition I can recall. 10 years ago I had a dream where I met a man who had long light hair and dark beard. He showed me a video about an arid, hot country. He said he was “Mercury” in horoscope. Then his head shrinked. I wrote this all down my diary. A couple of days later I met a man whom I had never met before. He had long light hair and darker beard. He showed me several photos which he had taken in India. I asked his horoscope and he said Virgo (Mercury rules Virgo). He told he had taken LSD, and once when he was looking into a mirror he saw how his head was gone.

Because I had already written my dream in my diary, it was easy to see that I had really sawn my dream and not just having illusions after I met this man.

When meditating with that guy I had my best shamanistic trip. First I saw a dark see kind of thing coming on to me, and next I was like in the air. I saw rivers, lakes, forests and white houses under me. Later I saw some things that are hard to descripe, a stony figure kind of like the Intihuatana rock at Macchu Pichu, and a round big thing like a bisquit rolling fast on the ground (road?)

With my partner there has been two interesting thing considering dreams. Once I had a dream where my partner said he had lied about a particular thing. When I told my dream to him, he admidded he really had lied. Another time I had a dream where an UFO had landed and all the animals from the forests were running scared away from it. In the same time I had this dream my partner was some 50 km away and reading Stephen King’s “Dreamcatcher” which had unfamiliar content to me at that time.

that reminds me of one of ealryest dreams i can remember
we were driving thought a city, where all people were like zombies and drove to outskirts of town near a big hagar, were i found out that aliens were conducting experiments or controling people

I didn’t make any sense all thiese years (only thing that came to my mind was that i’ve seen a “bad” movie and thats way the dream)
But now it kinda makes connectiongs with the flyer thing, maybe deeply i knew something was wrong and the dream was a vision (that’s still in my memory after all thiese years)

I just remembered the very first time I noticed anything of this kind. Once, long ago, I was laying on the edge of a bed (at the foot of the bed), napping, I had a short dream that my friend (who was in the same house already), walked into the room. I then woke up and the friend immediately walked in the room. It was like watching an exact repeat of something. It felt very strange at the time, but I just figured it was a strange coincidence.

Just a few days ago I had another very strange and precise dream premonition. I dreamt I was looking at crossword puzzles, trying to figure them out. I NEVER do crossword puzzles. I have no interest in them whatsoever. And then the next day I was given a homework assignment by a professor in a class I am taking. In order to make the homework a little more interesting, he made it into the form of a crossword puzzle. I wanted to burst out laughing!

    What a strange, strange world.

    What could this mean?

  5. Lilac dice:

Just reacently I’ve been doing crossword puzzles like crazy, though I very rarely get to finish them…

    😆

Sometimes, the thought of a certain TV show (with a specfic episode) or movie will pop into my head. Soon after, that show or movie comes on TV. It’s kinda fun…

    TV’s emit an electro-‘buzz’ … high/low frequencies..

A human can pick those up with their infra-red ‘input’ ..

    in other words..

You were sensing a ‘pulse’ that your body was recieving..

Work on that … its really useful.. lol

Interesting, but i’m not sure i believe that….How can this ‘pulse’ send out a signal that will tell me an episode/movie that hasn’t aired yet?

Well, let me put it this way…

What makes the electrons and protons that travel thru your satalitte/cable wires show up as an actual picture? ..

If a television, which has a bunch of crystals and electrodes etc.. can recieve a bunch of ‘electrical signals’ .. than surely the human body is capable..

besides that.. how do you think you view the world? .. everything is an electrical impulse recieved thru the nervous system and deciphered by the brain (as if it were ‘new’) ..

like ribbons running thru the sky.. … can you see them yet?

How about radio frequencies? .. all it is.. IS tuning into a certain “BAND” of signals.. much like how don juan explained the assemblage point.. although different.

  11. ensonar dice:

I don’t think the question is, “can our bodies pick up radio/TV signals?” It is, how can we percieve things before they happen? Television signals are recieved at the speed of light. Therefore, our picking up these signals couldn’t explain the reason for premonitions about something that hasn’t shown itself yet. And also, it certainly wouldn’t in any way explain having premonitory dreams which sometimes don’t show themselves for several days.

A couple of days ago I had a dream about weird money that had to be cashed in for real money. The NEXT moring I was buying a cup of coffee at Burger King and as the woman opened the drawer, instead of giving me the 2 dollar bill over the ones she set it aside, and counted out the one’s to me. Normally I don’t see 2 dollar bills around and normally I don’t care, but I asked the lady if she was saving the 2 dollar bill for herself because if she wasn’t I would like to have it. I didn’t know why I wanted it but it gave me a feeling I wanted to explore. When I got back in my truck I stared at the bill, I don’t remember ever staring at one up close, and that’s when I recollected the same feeling from the dream from the night before. The meaning escapes me but it’s instances like that where I know I must be doing something right. Maybe I should recapitulate the dream.

Time doesn’t exist.. so it would be hard to recieve information from a time that doesn’t exist..
reasons? …….. reasons are a form of control..

  14. ensonar dice:

Time doesn’t exist.. so it would be hard to recieve information from a time that doesn’t exist..

Yes you’re right. It would be hard to recieve information from a time that doesn’t exist. And so I guess the strange thing is the fact that it continues to happen regularly.

I don’t however, think I can agree with your idea that time doesn’t exist. It obviously “exists”. But the way that we normally perceive it is not the only way that it can be perceived (and used). Perhaps with practice one could slow or stretch time, or even “stop” it. I would assume that perceiving infinity directly might be something like this. Also, from certain perspectives, I’d say that time becomes irrelevant, but that doesn’t change the fact that time does exist in some form.

Regardless of any of these ideas, premonitory dreams have shown me that I can dream something and in the next few days it shows itself in waking life, sometimes in very precise detail (such as the crossword puzzles). This, from my point of view, cannot be ignored or denied. It has been happening for many years, and continues to happen quite often.

I would be curious to know how, or why this sort of thing happens, but even more than this I would like to find others who have experienced this. If it is happening to me, it is bound to be happening to others. I would like to find out if it may be directly related to Nagualist practice, by asking others who are also involved in these practices.

But another thing of curiosity is that when I’ve mentioned this to a few close friends, they have started noticing very similar things happening to them. Such as for instance, a friend of mine recently walking into a huge spider’s web and then suddenly remembering that she had a dream of walking into a spider’s web the night before.

And now Ryan has mentioned something similar has happened to him.

When describing these events to others (especially with the less precise premonitions), people often times seem to not pay much attention to it. Perhaps it sounds only like a vague coincidence, or something. Yet to the person that it is happening to, there is a strong feeling, in fact a knowing, that there is a definite connection between the two.

It’s like the normal occurence of something happening in waking life and then it showing up in your normal dreams that night… only in reverse.

I read the book “Don Juan and the Art of Sexual Energy” a while ago, and while the book sucked, I liked the term she used. She called it “bridging”, bridging the dream. And when you intentially bridge something, she goes on to say, it becomes and act of power, and with practice you bridge entire dreams into waking life. It sounds alot like the Death Defier and Carlos, when she intended the whole villiage, or when he intended her and Carol at the end.

A comment about time, Although I have a hard time (ha ha) grasping Quantum Machanics, the one thing I do get is how it explaines time, and it’s funny because it maches what Don Juan alludes to when he talked about how time moves a different speed for Inorganic Beings. And all it is, is that time is relative, and only seems fast or slow from the perspective of the observer, or to put it another way, whether your in a world that is fast or slow, subjectly it would be percieved as normal. So time is just the rate that things move, and speed is the rate that things move in relation to each other.

It seems to me that that is precisely what is the most important thing in CC’s books. They give people an opportunity. We as ordinary people are so fallen into ourselves, into our “magnificent” personalities, egos, bodies that we don’t know or remember what we are cabable of. We have to hear it from others!

If we ARE energetical beings, then what really are the limits to us? Only our childish ideas that we can’t be nothing but this blob of meat?

As a category within itself, premonitions have mutliple attributes because they can have various sources and can manifest in many ways.

Could some of these premonitions (the ones from our dreaming that we are addressing here) also be viewed as “Affirmation” of our being in Sync/Harmony with the energy of the Source?

I think that some premonitions are useful as nothing more than a personal affirmation while others may have life and/or death implications (and a full range of things in between).

The usefulness and energy that we put into our premonitions may within themselves, be our challenge……….is this a premonition and does it serve or hinder us? I suspect that we could get lost on that path.

I choose to embrace them for “as is” insight, at “face value”………….and store the knowledge as power………..and hopefully not get caught up in the conundrum.

On the days women have premonitions I can say definately they’re a bit more of something in them. They either need to be driven to the doctor’s office on a Sunday. Or they feel the need to go to a town 35 miles away and watch a silent movie. That or sign up for acadamia classes. A phantom choice of worrying about an unprofitable lady busines parnter. And what have you. Now the days that men have premonitions is something different. It’s not exactly as though your life passses before you. That’s not it. But something of brute force was likely to occur. Just my thoughts.
