Cheryl lleva años (auto) erigiéndose como \"defensora\" de la Nación Lakota SIN NINGÚN permiso o reconocimiento por parte de ellos. Su \"lista negra\" es una muestra de su visceraliad e incomprensión hacia las libres manifestaciones de nuestras ideas y propuestas.
En su página web existe una liga en la que pone (usa y abusa) la \"Declaración de Guerra Lakota\" SIN permiso de sus autores. Esta Declaración la utiliza unilateralmente (los Lakota ni se enteran) contra aquellos grupos o personas (como es mi caso) contra los cuales esta mujer tiene especial encono o no se cuadra a su muy personal y particular punto de vista.

Como soy de \"armas tomar\", logré comunicarme con una de las tres personas creadoras y firmantes de dicha Declaración, la lakota Phyllis Swifthawk y le pregunté directamente si sabía quién era Cheryl Harleston y su autonombrado título de defensora de los Lakota. Pongo la carta-respuesta original que me envió esta persona, con la cual finqué una gran amistad y nos escribimos periódicamente contándonos nuestras experiencias dentro de la espiritualidad, chamanismo, nagualismo, Ketsalkoatl, etc. Las negritas son mías para resaltar el total desconocimiento y repudio que tienen los Lakota hacia Cheryl Harleston.

I never heard about this woman Cheryl Harleston and please don't pay any attention to her. The official representative of the Lakota spirituality is Grandfather Oliver Red Cloud, he is an elder and chief of the Oglalas. I have alot of respect for him.
I dislike the new agers who come in the summer time to participate with the annual Sundance. Your people are \"spiritual\" and my paternal grandmother used to pray for your people. She describes them as powerful people who are helping to uphold the turtle island. During my spiritual journey back in 1994 I was taken to your country and actually touched the sacred feathered serpent. It gave me alot of spiritual strength and was able to regain consciousness. Write any time as I will be waiting for you. Your sister....\"

I did contact mi-sun-ka-la Wilmer before noon and asked him if he knows Cheryl Harleston. He stated that he never heard of her and don't have the Lakota Nation's permission to be a liasion. We had a lengthy discussion on how the new agers are still exploiting our sacred spirituality. That is the reason why our youth are troubled and taking their own lifes.\"

\"Please don't let that woman get you down as she is one of the new agers who wants to represent our people. I have in contact with Wilmer Mesteth and Darrel Standing Elk and will get together to write her a letter. Hopefully, she will stop harrassing you and your people.\"

OTRA CARTA IMPORTANTÍSIMA. (Que le escribirán a Cheryl para detenerla, desconociéndola TOTALMENTE)

\"I contacted Wilmer Mesteth by phone and sometimes next week him and I will write a letter to this woman to let her know that she is not authorized to be speaking on behalf of our Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nation. As soon as we get it done, I will e-mail you a copy to let her know your people are part of us. It would be nice to get Chief Oliver Red Cloud's input and brother Floyd Hand to address this woman's wrong doings toward degrading our spirituality. We have a non-white woman trying to become a medicine woman and she is losing her mind. She found out the hard way as she cannot be a medicine woman.

Grandpa Red Cloud is a well respected elder and I will explain to him of this white woman who proclaims to have the authority to be a spokeswoman for the Great Sioux Nation.\"

OTRA CARTA (16 de febrero 2011) MÁS CLARO... IMPOSIBLE: REPUDIAN TOTALMENTE LA SUPUESTA \"REPRESENTACIÓN\" DE CHERYL HARLESTON.

\"Wilmer Mesteth has asked for more information about this woman. (Such as her full name, residence and her website). He is willing to write the letter to notify her that she is not absolutely representing the spirituality of the GREAT Lakota Nation.
As soon as I get this information, I will contact Wilmer and Darrell Standing Elk who are the authors of the Spiritual War Against the New Agers.\"
