Flyers
When I first read about the flyers from The Active Side of Infinity I was a little disappointed. I have always been fond of an idea that we all human beings are supposed to be responsible about everything that comes from our ego. That is the ideal situation to me that we wouldn’t blame any imagined creature like a devil or satan about our misbehavings. I’m quite against religions, and I have felt at peace with nagualism thinking that there is no such things as “demons” or “angels”, only beings and forces we don’t understand and like to think they are evil or good.
Now that there could be a creature, a flyer, who comes into us as a foreign installation and I have understood that it mainly IS the ego in us all, that makes me feel that once again there is a thing we can blaim and so we can imagine we aren’t resbonsible about a thing we do or say. Luckily, if one truly believes in a flyer, there’s atleast always the task of getting rid of the foreign installation…
It also makes me wonder that trough all the CC’s books there’s no mention about these things and suddenly they are mentioned in the last book.

The flyers were a bit hard to grasp or believe at first, and perhaps maybe that’s why they were saved for the final book. But that is just a speculation.
Then again, when I first read Tales of Power, I found much of it hard to believe, and I, like many people, took it to be mostly metaphors used to help people learn. But then a friend who I had looked up to for a long time said to me, “How do you know it’s not true? This world is mysterious and amazing, and to assume that what we already know is all there is to infinity, is just plain dumb.” From that point on, I kept reading, and opened myself more and more to the possibility that there is much MUCH more to infinity.
But in the case of flyers, why is it so far-fetched that we have to think of it in terms of a satanic evil metaphor? I mean we battle viruses every time cold season comes around don’t we? Everywhere we look there are predators and prey. When we are attacked by a virus, we are aware of it because we obviously become sick. And so we do whatever we can to fight it off. But with flyers, many people are aware that they are ill, because we are constantly hungry for something, depressed about something, or just never satisfied. We are constantly craving food, sex, drugs, whatever. But we never have been confronted with the possibility that there may be more to it than just our own weakness.
The seers made references to flyers keeping us in human “coops” in the same way that we keep chickens in chicken-coops. These chickens don’t realize that they are being kept and raised for food. They just enjoy the easy food and shelter that they constantly have. Perhaps now and then a chicken longs for what is beyond the fence, but once the farmer comes out with more seed the same chicken will run over and start gobbling it up.
The fact that flyers may be really here, keeping us in a subdued state doesn’t in any way change the fact that we are still responsible for reaching freedom outside of our human coops. Maybe we just need to quit gobbling up the “seed” that is constantly in front of us.
Viruses, yes, and parasites… That makes sense: if a physical body can have all those things, then why couldn’t there be those kind of things for the energy body too. That way it’s more like a plain and neutral possibility and nothing about bad old religion and evil. Thanks!
All my life I’ve been quite sensitive to an inner feeling of emptines, always feeling something missing. Is something missing – a part from my energy body? Interesting idea.

We as people like to take ancient knowledge… we love it….
But what is really ancient is as new as a babies bottom, the time is irrelevant.

We tend to squabble against them… mostly because its hard to distinguish them.

Most people need to eat the shit they already have infront of them, they don’t need someone elses plate full of shit to add to their own….
Its like sitting at a dinner table… give people what they ask for… and sometimes with a mouth full of shit its hard to say what you want so you have to use body language to point at the items you so desperately need to wash the shit out of your own mouth.
I want to make this clear.. this is not directed at anyone… it is just an observation of human-kind… I lump myself in with the shit eaters.. so don’t worry, we all have a shit eating grin on our faces.

First time i came face-to-face with it was, when one evening i went to bed early, but woke up in few hours (around 23:00) and saw a shadow in front of me. ( at that time I was exparimenting with dark room effect (closed up all windows and doors, so no light would enter the room) I was trying to identify my hand as a field of energy, when there is no visual projection of them and with eyes closed, with some good results)
My Tonal went nuts, thinking out all possiobilities from someone walking in without me hearing him, to inorganick beeings, angels or death.
i had a panic for 2-3 min. and the it went away.
I had such a terror that for few days couldn’t sleep with light out and removed all light blocking obsticles.

At that time i was ocasionaly also taking mushroom trips and had my first encounters with other inorganic beeing.
what actualy are gates of dreaming ? Maybe throught induction of other – higher level inorganick beeings flyers retreats ? And thouse beeings guide of for our evolution ?
I think I want to be quite neutral with this flyer-issue, but it game into my mind that what if…
I think I was about 6-8 years old when I was once alone in our house, and suddenly I realized that people do actually die. I felt like jumping to the walls, literally. Later I cried to my mother and she said that everybody dies. (Oh how comforting…)
Well, I guess every child about that age realizes that, but that wasn’t enough of panic about dying. As an adult I have occasionally woken up in the middle of the night feeling awful. In those occasions I never remember any dream, it’s like I’ve been in coma… And then suddenly I just feel full panic and would like to screem. If I try to think what the hell is going on, all I can get into my mind is an idea about my body decaying when I’m still inside it and aware.
I’ve had all kind of theories about those night horrors. If one could be that I can sense the flyer coming into me, so be it – one more theory.
Now that I think about it, why so many people fear that there is a boogey man under the bed, or that their bodies are stolen when they are in sleep?
Just lately I woke up in the morning and saw with the corner of my eye something flying away from me, but aren’t flyers supposed to fly toward people, not away from them? So possible this was something else.
If these flyers are to be taken seriously, then I have one very interesting question: are we free of them when we are dreaming, and are we slaves to them only when we operate in the daily world?
i think after some gates are opened they can’t touch us in our dreams, or maybe they apear as sombody or something in your dreams – I had many dreams, when i had to fight some entities (at first aparing as human, but when you touch them, faces change to somehow monstreous) that wouldn’t let me go, i couldn’t change dreams or fly away from the room, it took me some time to overcome it
I’m quite uneasy about people touching me, and in dreams touching gets even more annoying. One of the worst happenings was once when a creature having human kind of shape cling on to me like a bubblegum. It was greyish white and had no face, only head, torso and limbs. (Wasn’t Dreaming, though, just a dream.)
Also I tend to have quite a few dreams where my family members are kind of evil, sometimes they even want to have sex with me. Always this same old shit that creatures in dreams just have to get close to me, and I don’t want them near me.

and same for sex, I used to do it often in Lucid dreaming, but it wastad a lot of energy, now i’am staying away from it, allthough sometimes I engage in it, stop and fly away – sex now is a kinda lucidity trigger for me (same for flying or meting certain people (probably inorg. beings)) , since i don’t remember to look at my hands it helps, thought maybe it’s becouse sex been absent from my life for many years
Hello, Id like to say I also noticed the Flyers were not mentioned unitl the big creshendo ending in Active Side. He really showed himself as developing into a great writer with that last book and how he laid it out very plainly with the sorc rule and all.BUT; Ive been reading CC since 1989 when I was brousing through a prison library in Tacoma, Washington looking for something to read and I found “A Separate Reality.” Since then I’ve read every CC book 12 times. One issue had in the beginning was at night while sleeping 2 things that were very concrete and real started to happen ( I was not using drugs or alcohol at the time) One was in the middle of the night I would be awakened by a sense that I was floating away and burning up at the same time(I would appreaiate any feedback on this one) And second that something was visiting me at night that sounded electrical, buzzing, and floated on the ceiling and scared the crap out of me. I mean scared shitless. The sound of it made me sick to me stomach. SO I moved back to Ohio from washinton state and low and behold im sleeping in my new apartment and what do you think starts happening within days? The same 2 occurances. I feel it worth mentioning that these 2 occurances did not stop until i started drinking alcohol again. I couldnt sleep with the lights off for years. I told everyone it was from being in jail and it was never dark there so I liked it that way after i got out.I just finished a novel called “The Devil of Riesling” anyone that would like a copy send me and email. What made you arrive at the conclusion that the existence and the influence of flyers would make us anyhow less responsible for our acts and thoughts?

The world is full of stories of demons and devils who trick us all the time. That all makes me frustrated, because what ever we do, there is always somebody telling us that it was this force and that being and something outside of us which made us to do it. Isn’t there anything that we can really do, WE, from our own minds and hearts? So that we don’t have to act like puppets, outside forces acting upon us?
I didn’t think so much about death with this thing. Death just ends us, it doesn’t force us to behave badly. It just forces us to die. So what…
So I like to think that it’s about us what to we do. Do we behave like idiots and devils or not. But ofcourse I know it’s hard to make yourself a totally one being, full of will, intent, so there aren’t many rival wills, emotions and ideas in ourselves.
The Devil made me do it. My petty tyrant made me do it.
I’ve got a petty tyrant in my life, a good one. Although I guessed as much for some time I never put 2 and 2 together and saw him as a teacher. I fight on a day to day basis not to blame him for the anger he draws out of me (he’s my boss). This guy is ruthless with everyone but himself. He’s so smart, and devious. I’ve known him for 7 years and I’m ready to leave, but not until I can say that the Devil didn’t make me do it.

P.S. I’ve seen the flyers too, well just let me say that I saw shadows jumping around with the lights off in my room once. It was after reading the active side, sometimes I think I was just open to suggestion at the time, but the expirence was unmistakable, I saw something. Amy Wallace in her book “The Sorcerers Apprintice, , in-between the whining, mentions that she even saw the flyers, and she’s somewhat of a sceptic.
It is quite crazy to be amongst people who actually care about what castaneda and the witches wrote in their books! Mind boggling! Not once have I met a person who respects this knowledge completely,( well actually I have, but I am sure that you won’t believe me if I told you that story)and yet here I am shearing information with like minded people .( by the way have you noticed the way I automatically wrote the sentence ” castaneda and the witches”; why not “the witches and carlos”?)

O K on the serious side, no joke, the other day, now this is what I have started doing, I climb up a tree , as high as I can( in this tree I lie down on a branch about 3,5 to 4 stories high) for the purpose of cleansing “my” mind. It is surprisingly comfortable up there, especially when the South Easter is blowing, gently rocking the branch from side to side.
so here I was, just sort of floating up in the tree, the sun already set, with the stars starting to light up.
All of a sudden, without warning, in the blink of an eye, this image appears. My eyes were closed, and i was definitely not dreaming.
This image appears, (how can I explain this without sounding ridiculous), of a reptilian human face. (All right,all right, I sound like someone from David Icke’s books)It was fleeting yet vivid, but strangely i wasn’t afraid. This was not my imagination, I dont take drugs, I dont smoke, I dont drink alcohol. Never has anything like this happened to me before. If I think back, it was just totally bizarre. It(he or she) had this dark olive complexion , right, with red dots of scales running from its forehead to the top of its head. It had large amber colored eyes of a reptile, with a delicately chiseled mouth and chin. It had a large head, bigger than ours. It was’nt this horrendous creature that I imagined it to be. It wasn’t grotesque, and yet it was.
What a mistery! there is just so much more still to find out about this, I am sure.

I am bringing this up, because the Bohemian Club uses the owl as an emblem, not to mention the giant Owl statue called Moloch they(if i am not mistaken) worship during this strange gathering. These owls are everywhere, if you haven’t noticed, there even is a tiny owl hidden on the American one dollar bill… the list can go on and on, street designs, you name it.

Personally, I like to keep somewhat informed about conspiracy-type theories, but in the end I really couldn’t bother myself with being concerned about them. Just more nonesense to spin around the head, for little to no good. Impeccability is the only real concern. That, and concern for being unconcerned.
As far as owls and inorganics, I believe it’s either in Tales of Power or Journey to Ixtlan, where Don Juan mentions inorganics liking to immitate the sound of owls in the dark forest. But I don’t think he ever mentions them actually taking the form of an owl. But who knows?
Who knows… that is a good question. I am sure that there are many knowledgeable people who know about these things, people who receive knowledge directly from the spirit.
But then,the definition of “concern” is something that interests you because it is important or affects you.
What concerns me is the damage that is being done to the earth. Did you know that the atomic bomb was conceived inside of Bohemian Grove? That is surely just one of the most horrendous and irresponsible crimes man has ever committed against himself ,against the earth and potentially against the delicate balance of the entire universe! About the flyers (they really seem to want me to not write this message): i DO think that we are responsible for our thoughts, but the flyers constantly prod us, almost suggesting the most vile, idiotic and useless information into our heads. When they do this, i feel like the back of my neck is being stung. One time (and i can’t say for sure it was a flyer, maybe some other entity), i was walking to school and i felt the “sting”. It was like all the breath was forced out of me. It was so horrible, i almost went to the hospital.

. I can assure you that this experience I had, was no mere walk in the park. My tonal was severely damaged as a result of it, a lot of negativity arose from the fact that I did not know why this weakness and insecurity was gripping me so fiercely. I was really unhappy back then, and in my mind, I was sort of, toying with the idea of ending my life. I am sure this happens to people all the time.

Eyrie, i never said that your description of energy is horseshit. i’m just very cautious when people say that energy will fit their description when everything we see in the “normal” world is a vague description that has been passed down for who knows how many years. But you did say it before you shared your experience so i’ll give you the possibility that your drawing is representative of the flow of energy.

I recently finished a picture of the face that appeared to me, while chilling up in the tree. If it was an inorganic being, then it could possibly be categorised as a flyer. Who knows, maybe they prefer to present themselves in a specific way, when a human becomes aware of them. Or it could just be their primary appearance. Once again, who knows?

If you are wondering, the S in SCoronatus, stands for Stephanoaetus, followed up by coronatus, completes the Latin name for the Crowned Eagle, Africa’s most powerful and ferocious eagle in terms of the weight and nature of prey taken. Due to their striking similarities, the Crowned Eagle is often considered Africa’s analogue of the Harpy Eagle.
Mi intention is not be like a mosquito, Mi intention is try to undestand this topic, and learn.

I was reading just this morning something that said that the fact that normal, intelligent adults remain incapable of seeing the mess they are in is EVIDENCE of an occult influence. The author was talking, a little bit obliquely, about interference from “daimons” — what we would call collectively inorganics, and more specifically and likely FLYERS.
Maybe it’s a cop-out? Then again, maybe it’s the only thing that makes sense.

Hey. Has anyone read ‘The way of the Shaman’ by Michael Harner? He describes an encounter with entities that could easily be the flyers. He was staying with the Conibo tribe in the Peruvian Amazon & had taken ayahuasca for the first time.
“Now I was virtually certain I was about to die. As I tried to accept my fate, an even lower portion of my brain began to transmit more visions and information. I was “told” that this new material was being presented to me because I was dying and therefore “safe” to receive these revelations. These were the secrets reserved for the dying and the dead, I was informed. I could only very dimly perceive the givers of these thoughts: giant reptilian creatures reposing sluggishly at the lowermost depths of the back of my brain, where it met the top of the spinal column. I could only vaguely see them in what seemed to be gloomy, dark depths.
Then they projected a visual scene in front of me. First they showed me the planet Earth as it was eons ago, before there was any life on it. I saw an ocean, barren land, and a bright blue sky. Then black specks dropped from the sky by the hundreds and landed in front of me on the barren landscape. I could see that the “specks” were actually large shiny, black creatures with stubby pterodactyl-like wings and huge whale-like bodies. Their heads were not visible to me. They flopped down, utterly exhausted from their trip, resting for eons. They explained to me in a kind of thought language that they were fleeing from something out in space. They had come to the planet Earth to escape their enemy.
The creatures then showed me how they had created life on the planet in order to hide within the multitudinous forms and thus disguise their presence. Before me, the magnificence of plant and animal creation and speciation – hundreds of millions of years of activity – took place on a scale and with a vividness impossible to describe. I learned that the dragon-like creatures were thus inside all forms of life, including man. They were the true masters of humanity and the entire planet, they told me. We humans were but the receptacles and servants of these creatures. For this reason they could speak to me from within myself.”
The next day Harner relates his experiences to the elderly blind shaman of the tribe.
“I went to his hut, taking my notebook with me, and described my visions to him segment by segment. At first I told him only the highlights; thus, when I came to the dragon-like creatures, I skipped their arrival from space and only said, “There were these giant black animals, something like great bats, longer than the length of this house, who said that they were the true masters of the world.” There is no word for dragon in Conibo, so “giant bat” was the closest I could come to describe what I had seen.
He stared up toward me with his sightless eyes, and said with a grin, “Oh, they’re always saying that. But they are only the Masters of Outer Darkness.”
He waved his hand casually toward the sky. I felt a chill along the lower part of my spine, for I had not yet told him that I had seen them, in my trance, coming from outer space.”
This took place in 1960-1961 before Castaneda even met don Juan, although he would have read the book (which was published in 1980), as he endorsed the 1990 edition.
Very interesting. I think I read a little of that book a while back. I think I might have to pick it up again.
Think me completely dim, but I’ve been struggling with your antecedents in this little piece and cannot decide who would have read and endorsed whose work/book. Please clarify the time-line and personalities for me!
Sure. Harner published “Way of the Shaman” in 1980. At that time Castaneda had not to my knowledge mentioned anything about the flyers. Castaneda endorsed the 1990 edition of Harners book so he must have read it. I mention that point because I have been trying to find examples of the flyers existence before Castaneda wrote about them. Unfortunately, because Carlos would have seen Harners book in 1990 or before, it stands to reason that he may have got his ideas of their existence from this book.
Or perhaps when Carlos mentioned in the endorsment of Harner’s book that “Harner really knows what he’s talking about”, he meant it.

5000 yrs.ago the Gnostics wrote about the archons who were responsible for the “mindchatter in our minds”. They believed that these people lived off our energy. The flyers are not a new concept but just revisited with CC. The inorganic being is the archon.In the legend of the archon he had no soul.This comes from the Sophia legend of creation .Colin Wilson wrote a book about this entity and how frequent this legend is distributed throughout ancient cultures long before CC came along.
The thing with Casteneda is that he wrote about his actual experience. He didn’t cloud anything in legend or myth. So he left no speculation that flyers were just a rumor or a scary bedtime story to tell your kids.
